As an educator, supporter and advocate toward full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Christians into the life of the Church, Beverly felt that personal stories would be the best voices to quiet the roar of debate in that institution concerning homosexuality. Voices from the Kingdom: All God’s Children Have Keys is a collection of fourteen interviews from gay and lesbian Christians, their parents, pastors and bishops telling their faith stories around the issues of homosexuality and the Church.
Both Cleaning Closets and Voices from the Kingdom can be purchased from the author (see ordering procedure on each book's web page) or from Amazon.com.
As a ray of hope, the congregation of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salina, Kansas is committed to the intentional inclusion of the GLBT community into Trinity’s church family. Please note the “Welcoming Statement” posted on the website.
